A Song For Europe

This was the first song to be co-written between Andy Mackay and Bryan Ferry. It has been played extensively on various tours and is an opportunity to feature Andy Mackay's sax playing.

BRYAN FERRY MELODY MAKER JAN 1973:-

"It's a pun, of course, on the Eurovision Song Contest, one of the more bizzare events in the calander...Andy came up with the music...it sounded very european to me, so I thought I'd use latin and french and do it as A Song For Europe."

A Song For Europe has been recorded by Superconductor and David Gahan from Depeche Mode did a version for the John Taylor tribute album Dreamhome Heartaches.
